How to Mass Ping Backlinks

May 6, 2013 in Tools

If you’re new to Internet marketing you’ll probably not know what it is, and whether you need to know. And that’s fine but its best to have as greater understanding of the whole internet marketing strategy list just so you can form your own opinions on what might or might not work for you.

What’s A PING

ping was originally designed to check whether a computer or network is connected and available. It basically sends a message from one network / server to another one and the message comes back, kind of radar. It’s also a good technique that can be used to get backlinks as well.

First of all, you can ping whenever you update your website or blog. This lets the search engines know that you’ve added new content and makes search bots come back to your site and scan for fresh content. It often takes a while to get your updated content indexed but pinging makes it faster.

A about backlinks, whenever you leave a comment with a backlink on another website, it may take time for search engines to find that link back to your site but if you ping the search engines they’ll crawl that site earlier and find you link quicker.

How Often To Ping Search Engines ?

Well, you can either ping each update or backlink manually on Google’s Blog Search page, or you can use an automated service that can do that for you. There are software programs that ping for you automatically, as well as online services to Mass Ping that can be used for any backlink that you leave behind  whether it’s a comment on a blog, a post on a forum or profile pages, articles posted to directories or Web 2.0 sites, or absolutely anywhere else you leave a link back to your site.

Backlinking Success

Internet Marketers have used ping services for years to boost their backlinks and traffic. By letting Google know you’ve got new links coming in to your site, this method helps you raise your site’s Page Rank in Google. It also gets it done a lot faster than just waiting for the Search Engines like Google to do it itself.

The only problem is that lots of folks are getting less in the way of results than they did years ago. One reason is that Google keeps updating its algorithms and bots, and since everybody was mass pinging for the last few years, many believe that the search engine giant now has spam filters that don’t pick up pings.

Many marketers still ping, but they recommend not doing it too much. If you over-ping in a short period of time, you’re likely to get ignored. If you want to ping in bulk, spread it out over several days or weeks.

Make Your Decision

Some marketers don’t ping backlinks because they say it’s not necessary. The truth is that Google and all other search engines will find your backlinks whether you ping them or not as long as you’re leaving them on good sites that lead to a content-rich source. In a few words, a lousy backlink will always be a lousy backlink even if you ping or not, and if you put out backlinks to a profile page or a page that’s weak in content, it won’t make any difference at all.

More and more Internet marketers disagree on whether or not it’s worth your time to ping your backlinks. A good productive way to boost your backlinks is to backlink to them too.

i.e if you’ve got articles on directories like EzineArticles, create another backlink from one of your Web 2.0 or social media sites to give the EzineArticles backlink more juice, and this is a proven technique for increasing Page Rank.

Mass Ping Backlinks

One good thing about this service is that it doesn’t ping all your backlinks at once with all available services as it uses different keyword and user agent for every ping. i.e if it pings one of your backlink to a service then that backlink is discarded to avoid repeating and this way you have more possibilities to get your backlink indexed by search engines.

Maybe is not the fastest service out there but in my opinion is one of the most trusted ones and i do use it from time to time when i need one of my articles to get indexed.
